    I've been using this forum for a couple of days , and I haven't said hello. I, Al (boneshaker from riding old Yamaha twins, while learning how to tune them) This 81 maxim 550 , 21k is my 3rd yamaha ( 06 FJR ae, 78 xs650 e--- the shaker till I got it tuned right). And so far I really like it . I've put new tires on and a new set of bars on from a honda cb 250 . Those original bars were just not right for me ( too high and too close for my monkey arms). I am extremely lucky in the parts department, about 15 miles from me is a motorcycle garage/ junkyard/salvageyard of the you pull it variety. Alright here comes the shameless plug Larrys cycle service Richlandtown Pa. Normally I don't do plugs like that but this guy has helped me over and over with parts and how to knowlage. If anyone wants his number give me a holler. bye for now :)
