Here's a totally useless question which is of no importance to anybody.

I visit with 2 different independent cycle repair shops.

One pronounces Seca with a long E......See_Ka

One pronounces Seca with a short E......Se(x)_Ka

What is the concensus of the forum on this conundrum?

And no, I can't think of any good reason I should care since I ride a Maxim.

Yeah me too, "Say-kuh;" as in Laguna Seca, the place it was named after.

It's not a useless question! I had to search this place for 1/2 an hour to find out it was Say-Ka. Important to me as i've got a Seca, and I couldn't stand not knowing what it was actually supposed to be.

I've always said Seh-Kuh (short E) in my head, so that's what comes out of my mouth, but Say-Kuh would be correct i would think.

Neither. The word is a Spanish word that means Dry. Like in the word SEminar you start with that pronunciation and finish with -ka. SEka=Seca

Oops, sorry I didn't go search the forum before asking the question (well, maybe not real sorry, this is getting kind of fun).

Now for the new question, I have been pronouncing it Max_um, possibly due to my Scandanavian heritage (please hold the Ole & Lena jokes).
