looking for gas tank for 81 cb750c

i need a gas tank for a 81 cb750c custom. i have one that is rusty inside but the worst thing is that somebody tried to seal it already and did a bad job. they just bought the sealer and poured it right over the rust without cleaning it out properly. now it is coming out and i cant get it cleaned out good enough to seal it again. basically its a nightmare. please let me know if anybody has anything. thank you

 

That's a hard one. I have an '80 cb750f and the only thing holding in the gas is the paint. Had to carry fuel filters with me everywhere. All the tanks I see on Ebay are rusty inside too. Now, the HONDA CB-F SS series can take multiple tanks from other size bikes. The 750, 900, 1100 all fit the same. The C series might be the same deal. Check ebay, although some people want a fortune for their old tanks.

 

well thanks anyways but i just found one off a cb 1000c and its the same. surprisingly it looks really good inside just some dusty surface rust that wont be a problem. i found it at a cycle salvage place in PA. $75 wasnt bad price either. yea i think all the cb models tanks will interchange but im not completely sure. thanks again though.
