I've seen a few radian 600 builds rocking those sexy windscreen nose cowl fairings, but I cant seem to find any info on them.

Can anyone provide some info on them? Were they offered as a stock option from the factory or were they aftermarket only?

Or if not, does anyone know of aftermarket options for a front nose fairing windshield for a radian, or if the front fairing from other similar bikes would be compatible on a yx600 with little to no modification? The fxz fazer 700 front end bears a striking resemblance to the radian 600, I am assuming that a front nose cowl fairing from a fazer 700 would be plug and play onto a radian (assuming I can find one).

    Thanks in advance guys.

Never mind. Just a solved my own question. Derek from moto-lab.com just got back to me, per his response "There was an OEM Yamaha accessory fairing offered back in the day that fit both the radian and the Fazer. Those are extremely rare nowadays, and if available, the asking prices are typically fairly high."

He also offers an aftermarket alternative with choice of windshield height and tints. It wont let me attach the picture for some reason but it looks damn good.

There's one up on eBay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Nos...ian-YX600-Fazer-ABA-1UJ02-00-MW-/362951853169

Something to keep in mind: ANY handlebar/fork mounted fairing or windscreen will affect the feel and handling of the bike, both in terms of slow-speed steering and aero effect on steering at road speed. Of course, the more it weighs, the more effect it will have.

(Form vs. function, not everything that looks cool necessarily works well.)

It turns that the wind fairing moto-lab sells is made by Rifle fairings. The reviews on the product aren't great.

The main reason I was looking at windshields is because I am not a huge fan of the bulky square radian600 headlight. I thought that a nose fairing would "clean up" the front end and give it more of a sleek cafe racer look. I'm still in the process of getting the shim clearances in spec but will probably install one of those fancy LED headlights at some point.

Just a thought, my stroll through the parts fiche was inconclusive; however--- it might be possible to swap your headlight mounting "bracket" (U-shaped hoop with ears) for one from an 81-83 550 Maxim and switch to a round headlight... the biggest challenge I can see is that the upper triple clamp is vastly different so there may or not be any easy mounting points available.

Awesome find, I am going to look into that. This might end up being my plan B. Only because new OEM parts are just do damn expensive, and used OEM's are a toss up as to their condition.

As of now, my plan A is to ditch the whole headlight assembly, turn signals, and turn signal brackets for a headlight with integrated turn signals. I did a brief search of Ch. 257 of Michigan of legislature and, as far as I can tell, there is no requirement that turn signals a certain distance separate from the headlight, or separated at all. So I'm assuming turn signal integrated headlight and taillights a perfectly legal here in Michigan (unlike other states looking at you Indiana).

My only reservation about doing this is that the headlight bucket on the radian holds most of the front wire harness connections, which will be a pain to reorganize.
