Just a reminder, if you're putting your bike up for the winter, or have noticed that your speedo/tach needle is bouncy.

At highway speeds, my tach would bounce around 500 rpm to either side of the engine speed. This fixed it right up.

After pulling the cable & tube off the bike, I cleaned the cable with WD-40 then used high pressure grease on the cable as I put it back in the tube.

Oh, and used some teflon pipe tape on threads for the tach to engine connection. It'll help seal it up, since it's only a plastc screwcap.

Plus, you'll get a chance to check the condition of your cables.

    Happy lubing!

I'll second this one - and add that a proper cable luber is cheap, and you can use a good aerosol lube like PJ1 in your cables - it does wonders.
