I just got my new exhaust put on today. Stud nuts came off great after soaking for 3 days with PB Blaster. Even had a propane torch ready to heat em. Look great, havn't run it yet, baby went to bed before I got it on there. Will be running it on Sunday, that is my next day off. Will let you know how it sounds and runs. I can't wait to fire it up. Here is a link to my album on webshots. Will also have more pictures when it is nice out.

I've got the same exhaust system -- 'course, mine hasn't looked THAT good in probably 10 years now!

It's a nice, easy, reliable system -- I've been very happy with it so far.
On mine, because I also have a K&N air filter, the bike really needed rejetting to run right with both the higher flow filter & the aftermarket exhaust -- FYI in case you need to order some jetting kits :)

General rule of thumb is that you can get away with one mod to the intake/exhaust system without rejettting, but not two.

ie, you can change the air filter, or the exhaust without rejetting, but not both -- both almost guarantees you need to do carb work.

Actually, I'm surprised with pod filters that you haven't already -- those are notoriously finicky with our carbs.

I have a mac 4-1 with a screaming eagle pipe and I it sounds great but I also need to get around to re-jetting.

Rettic did you have any difficulty putting on the head pipes I have a 4 into 1 set but they wont go on without scratching up the frame .Curious if you had the same problem???

I think we all do -- I find that if you turn the collars 'vertical' and then separate the header pipes while you're getting them over the frame tubes, it seems to work just fine without scratching.
You could also put a wrap of painter's tape around the frame tube if you're really worried about it...

I honestly did not have trouble with scratching the frame. I have done a lot of random stuff to cars before that i didn't want scratched so I was very careful putting the headers on. Just take your time, and be gentle and there will not be any problems.
