I have a stupid question. Where is the Main Jet and Pilot jet on a 82 650 maxim. Is the jet nearest the cylinder the pilot or the main?

The reason I ask is this. If I put the 34's in closest to the cylinder the bike won't start. But, by accident I install one of the 110 ( I think that is the size ) in closest to the cylinder the bike will start. It don't run very good but it starts and will stay started if the choke is on. So I am wondering if the bigger iones are supposed to be installed closest to the cylinder.

    Thanks

The Pilot jet is a 40, and it goes closest to the engine.

The Main Jet is a 110 and it goes in the longer center location. It's the one that screws into the emulsion tube. The emulsion tube is the thing the needle goes into.
