Good find, I'll keep that in mind when I Bobber my 550, though I'll probably cover it my self, Im thinking of just using an R1 seat, kinda cool looking and running a couple of 59 Cadillac tail lights out from under the seat.

so how does one go about bolting this down? would you mold a nut into the fiberglass or would you just assume that since it contoured to the bike it doesnt need to be attached? i have never worked with fiberglass before but i am going to do this next week. any added info or tips would be greatly appreciated

i would assume that you would need to make some sort of attachment from seat to bike and i would go about it by after making the seat pan i would drill some attachment holes in the pan and build a mount to attach it to. make sure you put the bolt inthe pan and not the nut as the bolt could work through the foam and the material and then you will have a hole in your new seat.
