Hey everyone. Was looking for XJ info and such, stumbled upon Youz Guyz. Glad to be here. I wanted to make some kind of Intro before the Infrmation Whoring begins. Got an XJ900, turns out this is the place to be, so I'm pleased to be aboard!

EDIT: Oh yeah, just remembered something I wanted to ask. Saw a post about "Be sure to do the welding to fix the stock sidestand mount and strengthen it". Funny I should see this: I'm taking mine to a friend to have him weld that exact thing Tonight. What's the deal with this particular malfunction? Is this a COMMON failure?!?!

Hey there, great, another XJ900 Driver on board even I heard it should be difficult to get one over there. How does it look like? Any pic? XJ900 get rare here. Round about 10200 available only.

And yes, the problem with the side stand is well known here in germany. But I never met one who had this problems. I've got three frames without any side stand problem.

Had to have my 900's Sidestand welded and reinforced shortly after I got her.

    I've seen The Queen ... love-er-ly!

I heated my side stand and lessened the degree of Lean-over.

Have you got a 900 with the Front fairing mount correction? Mines '83-RK with aerodynamic buffeting kicking-in at 108 - 110 mph. Makes the situation damn poor for high-speeding.

Hi, lucky guys over there. We are not allowed to change most of the things on a bike without getting permission from an organization so called TÜV. And welding a frame? That is nearly impossible. No, I don'T have this Front fairing mount correction. How does it look like?

Do what any good upstanding citizen would do Ramon...a little tweek...a little grind....a little paint.... voilà! Who's to know the difference! As far as the fairing, how does the TUV (don't have the two dot thingies on my keyboard for the "U") view supplemental supports to existing ones? I would think that just as long as you keep the original ones in place that everything would be OK.
