So, Ive got my carbs off of my 81 xj650H. I have to replace the boots and have new ones already, so should I order the gaskets between the boots and block or make them myself. If anyones done this do you have any tips? Last time I made a gasket was in the 80's

I've been making my own gaskets for a while now... I use an exacto knife kit (harbor freight) along with a metric hole punch (also from harbor freight)... good gasket paper is usually available at auto parts stores... I like to use the Fel-Pro rubberized stuff.. It's pretty thick and conforms easily.

Thanks, I have a ton of exacto's so I'll head out for the paper. I hate waiting for such a simple part.
