I just bought an 83 XJ750 and it did not have any front brake lever or master cyl. would you recommend any other master over the stock? any others that are more hidden/subtle?

    many thanks in advance :)

See our supporting vendor section and PM Chacal for any parts you need. He has most everything you need with fair prices and fast shipping.

correct, I have lurked for quite a while now and he's def the "go to guy" for parts, but thats not my question :)

is there an "upgrade" opportunity here to something newer/better/sleeker, or is my best bet just the factory setup?

many thanks for your response though!

Look for bikerdeb's thread on this.
She recently swapped out an aftermarket MC eliminating the one on the forks.

    Stanadad Yama stuff .
Yama used a lot of the Same parts on a LOT of models. Try MikesSX.com for a new master Cyl assembly.. they start at $80. Try to get one with a lightly LESS bore diam. than the stock one fitted to your Bike OEM. Yamaha had an ugly habit of using too large a bore MC's.. Causing the infamous Yamaha 'Wooden' brake feel.. a slightly smaller one will change this ratio and improve your braking feel dramatically. G'luck
