Hi, first time posting. I have a 1982 650 Seca. I'm nearing the end of my winter work. I'm slowly turning my Seca into a Cafe Racer. Right now i'm looking to pick up some parts of MikeXS. My main question is regarding Master Cylinder, i was going to replace the one i had and noticed on MikeXS that he has some "custom" Master Cylinders. Just wanted to know if i could use what he has there on my Seca. I'm assuming that if i was to use one of the custom ones that i would have to relocate the Master Cylinder from the handle bar to the frame some where.

The Page the "custom" Master Cylinder's i was looking at:

    http://www.mikesxs.net/mikesxs-chassis. ... ory_id=1.2

    I was looking at parts:

    Part #08-4001, 08-4002, 08-4000

    Thanks in Advance

Hello, and welcome to the site! The master cylinders that you listed are rear master cylinders. If you are running a single front disc, try either #08-0262,or #08-4003(no mirror mount hole). If you are running dual discs,# 08-0255 or # 08-0265 should work for you. If you are using clubman bars, you may wish to a "sloped" master cylinder, such as # 08-4004(no mirror mount hole). Hope I didn't just add to the confusion, and best of luck to you!

Thanks for the reply, i guess i wasn't really clear with my question. I actually wanted to know if i could use the "custom" master cylinder and bold it on to the frame some where as i didn't want to have the standard master cylinder on the handle bar. I wanted to clean up that area.

But danno's answer did help me come to another questions is there a difference between using the handle bar master cylinder and a rear master cylinder? I was hoping all i would need to do is find a place to mount the rear master cylinder and run a line to it.

Welcome to the site Henry. The 750 secas have a master cylinder that is attached behind the headlight bucket, pretty much on the frame. It is operated by a short cable.
