If I use carbs from a max on a seca (both from a 550) is all I need to do is swap the needles and pilot air jet? Can I just change the whole diaphragms over? Any info would be great!

    Thanks
    Jim

you can swap the whole diaphram/slide assembly .
pilot air jet swap as well.
the pilot air jet and slide needle (Main jet NEEDLE) are the only differances between the two bikes carbs

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear! I think I'm gonna have a lot more questions coming up about the seca since I just started messing around with it today for the first.

yes they are a little hotter than maxims, making the seca a little quicker and faster
the larger diameter rear tire helps as well lowers rpm at cruse speed gives a higher top end
