Hey guys i been on the site before but i just now registered. I have an 82 Maxim 750. I love the bike ive put 2000 miles on it in a month... yesterday i rode about 300 miles and on my way back from the ride it just started bogging down when i roll the throttle. When i pull the clutch in the bike dies instantly. I just chnged the plugs today ran lucas fuel cleaner in it and it has new wires... Any ideas?

I would start by checking that their is the proper ammount fuel in the carbs. You can use the clear tube method too see if there is fuel in the bowls. Work from there, you might have a problem with the petcock not delivering fuel. Might be as simple as a bad diaphram or broken vacuum line in the petcock.

How many miles total on the bike, and have the valve clearances been checked/adjusted?

Have you done a compression test since you got it?

Just a thought are all your plugs firing? Also how are the rubber caps on the vac sync tubes on the carb boots? Asking because I had that happen on two separate occasions. First time plug cap not on properly and it poped up losing its connection. Second time I had a bad vacuum sync cap and it did the same thing. Check the simple and work up to the worse.
