maxim rear suspension

    i want to lower my 81 650 maxim for a bobber project, what is a good option for rear suspension?

    Honda rebel shocks, Sportster shocks, and atv shocks all seem to work well.... along with struts etc.

    almost anything can be made to work if you make bushings

    Use shorter shocks from a Sportster or Suzuki Savage 650, Hardtail the frame, replace shocks with struts or alter the angle of your existing shocks.
    I suggest you do a lot of investigating before you alter the bike so it will be safe. There are several threads in the mod section to look at.
