Maxim/Virago parts interchange?

    Seems they are similar, I am seeing a nice set of hard saddle bags for sale that fit a Virago of about the same vintage as my XJ700S. Any hope these will fit? :) I want saddle bags!

    Some parts will interchange, others will not. For the saddlebags, you'll probably have to do some homemade brackets. Check the set on my 650 in my gallery. You'll see what I mean. Those are not original to the bike, but they fit just fine, all I had to do was make a very few small brackets.
