I have reason to believe that there might be a problem with my tach (it doesn't work ...) and I need to verify if it is the tach itself or something else. Does the tach use standard wiring/connections that I could pick up an aftermarket tach to plug in and see if things work better or is the wiring somehow unique to the Maxim X. If unique, is it something which can be worked out by siring it together somehow or is there something inherantly incompatible with other tachs?

I look forward to your responses.
