So on colder/earlier mornings my bike is hard to start. Thought maybe clean the carbs but they were pretty clean already. I've had the bike for a year and this finally hit me. A lean condition will make it harder to start when cold right? I'm pretty sure the cover to the air box came stock without 15-20 1/4" holes drilled in it. I guess this would pull in extra air and make it lean. The carbs have stock jets but the bike runs pretty good other than starting. can't believe how many times i tinker with it and just noticed that cover has all those holes

If it's only the cover then simply replace it? Yamaha pn 4U8-14412-00-00
CAP, CLEANER CASE 1. If chacal doesn't have a used one laying about for you, Speed-n-Sport http://216.168.60.165/speedandsportinc/index.tpl shows 2 in stock at $16.88.

*edit* wowza. You can still get the actual AIRBOX from Yamaha for $126. And to think I paid $10 off eBay for my spare...
