Hello everyone, My name is Joe and i live in central jersey. I have always loved motorcycles and have owned and ridden many dirt bikes and had my first steet bike, an 85 vfr 500 before i even had my license. I picked up this 82 xj650 for very cheap, and went to work fixing it.after a brake caliper, plugs, coils, and a TON of wiring work which turned out to be a disconnected ignition switch. Now it has a totally chopped wiring harness, clubman bars, 4-1 header, pods, chopped lights, fenders and signals, and severe lightening. Have it weighing in just over 400 lbs. Here are some photos of it currently(work in progress) and when i first got it. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions! thanks

First saw it...complete with purple wheels. Decided to take it home anyways!~

Anyone with ideas for color on the tank? and still thinking of maybe going red/aluminum with the wheels, for the rat bike or mad max look. Also waiting for ignition switch, headlight and tailight wiring, fabrication of a tail light and plate bracket, custom rearset brackets/mounts, new rear brake lever setup, also going with reverse shifter and still keeping passenger pegs!
