    Right guys,

I am building a project bike and have decided to polish up a few parts, for example the switch housings. I have bought a polishing kit for my bench grinder, and am getting as good results as I need.

    My question is,

Is there any clear coat, or method of protection I can use so these parts retain their shine?

Its easier to Polish the part again, ... than it is dealing with scratches and chips in the Clear.

After you Polish the Parts, ... Touch-up the shine when needed with
    "ZAM".

    Touches-up without leaving a residue.

i agree just keep them polished and be sure to dry them off first thing when you get them wet .if they are polished well you can polish them by hand if needed. there is a product that supposibly seals after polishing but i think its between 40 and 60 bucks

I have found that Simichrome polish is one of naked aluminum's best friends. Very easy to use, and it leaves a protective "film" that lasts quite a while. A little bit goes a long way.
