Mikuni BS32 Cleanup - Help

    Hi Team

    I've taken the dive into my first (and hopefully last) carburetor rebuild, and wanted some advice from the wise.

    Is there a trick to removing the brass choke plungers? Unfortunately I can't link any photos, all four were connected via hooks on a rod to the choke cable.

    Is there some sort of specialised tool I am missing? My standard wrenches match the hex fittings, but have very little room to turn before they foul on the carburetor body.

    The usual WD40 soaks haven't gotten me anywhere thus far, and I'm afraid too put much pressure on them as I've already chewed up the brass a little on one.

    Chacal's Carb guide (Link) "In the Church of Clean" has been my bible so far, but I couldn't find any tips regarding this, nor on the net.

    Appreciate any thoughts/advice ya'll have.

    you're best using a 6 sided socket on those brass hexagons ,not a 12 sided one, no need for any clearance on a wrench then

    Hex socket was the way to go, I did end up having to sand down the end of the socket, as the chamfer was causing slippage.

    Now on to remove these pesky butterfly valves.

    Good news. Did you get the idle mixture screws out already? Those are usually the bigger bear to get out.
