Got another camera after ruining the last one with oil and dirt so... thought I'd make a record of my recent foray into a wet-setting a set of Mikuni BS36s.

    1. change the philips screws to cap screws (no push pressure to undo and tighten).
    2. make a carb holder to fit in the vice out of some aluminium T length and level it in vice.
    3. make a suitable nipple/barb to plug into the waste socket.
    4. mark the outer bowls with the correct measurement.
    5. do an initial level.
    6. alter each tang to get a good reading.

    1. Not Phillips screws. JIS screws. Using the correct screwdriver removes the need to push on the screwdriver (I changed mine out to allen-sockets anyway though).

Super job with the pics I can see and understand the process much better then by just reading the book, A big Thank You for doing this.
Whats the difference between the BS36 and the BS33?

The number is the I.D(Inner Diameter) in mm of the carb throat.
    So 36mm while BS33 is 33mm.

FYI. The carb holder bracket is secured only by the outer to 2 cap screws, although I removed the inner 2 cap screws holding the idle screw too as it was sitting proud of the plate.
The other heads of the cap screws are just poking through big holes.
Not sure if that was obvious from the picture.
