ok the mirror hole on the master cylinder has bout 4 threads stripped.
if i take the locking nut off i can screw it down to the good threads but the mirror and the windshield mount dont line up.

any thoughts other than re tapping it.
    do they make extenders?

I noticed the threads my right mirror mount (left hand thread) looked in tough shape when I replaced my mirrors, so I used the best (hardest) loctite when I put the new ones on. I don't plan on taking them off any time soon :) A good epoxy will work too and I'm sure it will break lose if you have to remove the mirror in the future.
