misc parts for sale (LOOK!!!)

rebuilt/cleaned carbs for the 650 and 750 maxims ($250 including parts/labor). That does not include the throttle shaft seals. But I can put them in for an extra $50. the only bad thing about them is the chrome caps do have pitting on them.
I do also have a set of midnight carbs at the same price. Shipping for them is $12. If you wanted insurance you would also be responsible for the cost of that. I have 1 set of each. I also have a set of xj650 turbo carbs. At the moment they are broke apart but all the parts are there. The only thing that is needed for them is a coldstart plunger. The one was broken when I got the rack. $125 as is or $225 plus the cost of parts/shipping if I rebuild them.

I am trying to clean up all the crap I have laying around. Anythign I have left I am junking. I will update the list as I go. I would be interested in the Colortune and a XJ650J with YICS valve cover gasket (this is the one you need to set valve clearance, correct?).

Make sure the colortune is the correct size for the 82 650.

Will need shipped to 52501 (SE Iowa).

Are the "front brake switches" the switches that should be on my master cylinder so front brake activate the brake light?

If yes I need one and I hope the appropriate wires are still present...

 

The switches I have do go on the master cylinder assembly so that when the brakes are applied the light goes on. It should be the one you are looking for. I will send you a pm.

I updated the list above also I have a good tci unit and rectifier from an 82 750 maxim. I looked at the part numbers online and it looks like it will fit the 650,750 and 1100 maxims. It may also work for the 550.
Also have some good diaphragms for the 650 and 750maxims.

 

I have a set of 750 carbs that could use a going over, they are complete. would you allow me to trade them on a set that is already done + some cash?

 

I'm interested in a rear drive pumpkin for my '82 XJ750 Maxim. I see one on ebay for $28.50. Will you take $25? Mine has a really small hairline crack at the shock mount and it seeps a little gear oil. Easy enough to keep up with with regular washing, but I'm worried about it growing or even breaking.

Also have some carb parts: good diaphragms for the 650 and 750maxims. I also have many carb bodies#2's#3 and #4's I may have some #1 but I would have to look. They would need to be cleaned up good before you could use them. Some have oxidation others have stuck floats/pins and at least 1 or 2 have stuck mixture screws. Not looking to get much for them.

sorry bud. Got rid of that awhile ago. I can talk to another forum member and see if he does.

 

Does the clutch basket include the clutch plates and are they within specs?

My clutch will slip in 2nd if I am hard on it, but other than that it's not slipping anywhere else. I actually heard it's common, not sure tho.
