Motor cleanup help

    The previous owner of my xj 650 painted the motor gray. I am wondering if there is a way to remove it and clean up the motor, possibly back to a chrome finish.

    Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't think any of these motors were ever chrome. Polished aluminum yes. Aircraft remover should get what ever is on there off. I don't know what it'll do to gaskets though.
