My '81 XJ550 is for sale

I have an '81 XJ-550 Seca, white for sale. I am the original owner. This bike was my daily driver for the first few years I owned it, but got parked after I got married & instant teenagers.

After sitting inside for many years, I got the thing running again with the help of many folks on this forum. Had to rebuild the carbs of course and over time, I've ended up with various spares.

After I had the bike running, registered and inspected I rode it for about a month. Then one day, I heard a rod knocking. I shut it off and have been demoralized ever since.

I have too many projects and not enough time. I was able to ride my old bike again and now I can turn loose with a clear conscience.

Anyway, many of you helped me out, so this is the first place I'm 'advertising'. I'm near Houston and just want to get a fair price for it, so make me an offer. It is complete and original except for the 4-1 header I put on right after I bought it. There is light surface rust on many surfaces, but I did replace the front fender and bars with clean pieces. The seat is perfect and it's never been down. The fairing and side covers are excellent. The whole fuel system was rebuilt including that funky petcock. The wiring has never been molested. You'll get the bike, shop manual, special tools, spares, etc. I think I even have the original toolkit.
