Hey Breaker19, bike looks nice! I just went to check out the ad. Real nice job of recreating one. Hey, could you do me a favor....I lost the harddrive in the computer that I had my compilation on. I've been able to rebuild pretty much the whole list that I had, but don't have the numbers of the donor frames that you have used. Could I trouble you to give me the info on them, too, even if they are incomplete anymore?

You can just pm the info to me and I'll copy it to the document.

    Thanks a bunch!

Jeez...your blood, sweat and tears come mighty cheap! $3k sounds like a great price...I can see why it's non-negotiable. SERIOUSLY tho...only 500ish miles since the resto? You should try to sell it for a million $$$...and if no one wants to give you that you'll just keep riding it.

(I'm no where near florida, and can't afford it...but I just wanted to let you know that it looks really nice)

Hi Breaker, I put my '83 on 'the bay' a couple of months ago & the bidding went to AU$2250, so I kept it. Wiz.

I guess I just don't wanna dart around. If someone wants it, they can have it for 3K. Take it or leave it. That said, thank you for your kind comments. But I am not trying to recoup my labor; that was simply for fun and education.

I learned more doing this job for -- however many dollars in my labor -- than I could in a year at a place like MMI or UTI. They simply train "technicians." I view my skill level as a "mechanic." The difference? A technician diagnoses and replaces parts -- a parts changer. A mechanic diagnoses, fixes, restores or simply makes the part from scratch if needed and possible; then figures out a way to keep it from breaking again -- and all through the process, fixing anything else they come across like restraining wires dangling, tightening a loose hose clamp, etc.

So, it was well worth it to become a better "mechanic." lol

    wow very nice.
so i just picked up one of thease i baught it fot $250
everything is there, i have not fired it up, the tank had rust and a hole on lower side and bottom so they have been braised.
iam missing the left fairing cover, all els is there.
i cleaned the carsb today but 2 of the float bowles leak, out the drains, not the screw part but the hole on the side that the screw goes by.
and one of the main jets thread broke, so iam interested in eather looking for a carb or filling the holes on float bowls, and getting a jet kit.

well so dont know if i want to fix this thing its going to need new paint carb issue fixed, all the gears seam to work but the motor has 50,000 on it.
thats why i was tring to get the carbs cleand so i could fire her up and see how the motor runs then do a compression test.

this is going to need alot of work and i see they dont go for alot of money.
    any suggestions?

You should charge 50-Cents just to watch the Video!

Even with the wind noise trying to muffle-out the sound; that 900 getting wristed-open sounds so sweet.

You do have one factor that is very important for everyone to consider who have balked at your $3000.00 asking price.

This isn't like some of the other 900's that have crossed our path for consideration.

    With this deal:
    He gives you the Bike.
    Hands you the Title.
Then, gives you the set of Keys.

The only thing remaining for you to do is:
    Put-on your Helmet and grin!

The vid of you on the road is great. Love the exit from the corner at 2:30 & then the acceleration. Sounds great.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. I put a lot of attention to detail and I'm kinda anal (stop the snickering) when it comes to my work. I mean, I can't make it like a perfect showroom model without... well, purchasing every part brand-new and assembling a bike from scratch... lol... but this one's damned close.

Mcmillan40, what parts do you need? I may have some around, but it depends on what you want me to grudgingly give up. :)

I actually have a bunch of different stuff but a lot of it is not in the best shape. If you send me a list of what you need I can let you know if I have it or not.

    Thanks.
