I bought this bike for 300.00. It didn't run, just needed a battery and the carbs and tank cleaned. Sat in the weather for a good while, so needs lots of detail work, not just modifying the frame, blah, blah, blah. Very excited about having a good winter project that I can take some time on and show off next spring. :D

    And today the work began!
Removed the seat, tank, battery and case, carbs, shocks ect, and started the cutting and welding on the frame section. This is just the beginning but by spring I should be able to show you the final product.

This site has been a big help in getting me motivated to take on this project bike build. Thanks to all the old timers here, the mods and of course the newbies that give this place a nice heart beat. I will need to buy a solo seat, springs and mounts for it, so if you know of where I can get a really good deal on this stuff, please let me know. Your ideas, suggestions and comments throughout the project are appreicated.

Looks like a great project! Pretty sweet find for only $300! I hope to get mine on the road by next spring/summer as well. Might be a little ambitious there!

Not sure what budget you are dealing with, or how crazy you want to go but you should check out the kit on this forum that allows you to swap a rear wheel and tire onto the front and get rid of that skinny wheel. I would have loved to do that to my bike but unfortunatly there is no kit for us dual diskers!

    Keep the pics coming!

plans on fwd controls? looks like a pretty low seat with that back half and fwd controls would probably be more comfortable
