ok, so I cannot go withthe grey paint if I can help it, I've been contemplating several paint schemes, Yamaha blue, John Deere green n Yellow, but one thing that keeps coming up is the one i brutally mocked up in paint. The typical yamaha raching stripe doesnt change its size, its just like a solid rectangle, and I've found some variations, where the black blocks on the inside are either square or slanted. What do you think?

What if you just painted it yellow, and got the black and white graphics done in vinyl? Vinyls aren't that expensive nowadays.

It's just my opinion, but I would make that white part black and then make those black parts yellow. If I was sticking to that design that is.

Keep the yellow and add YAMAHA in white letters to the tank - the "RD" style black and white blocks don't really work.

What shade of yellow were you planning on using? you have a color swatch? that will make a big difference on the white and black pattern you have.
Also agree with Wesley's comment. Maybe if you played around with which colors went where you could get a totally different look for the bike.

There is an old thread (a couple of months) that had a custom FJ bike with a similar paint scheme. It looked pretty cool. You will have to check that one out.

I personally like the Vintage Yamaha yellow paint scheme. As long as it isn't overdone.

You almost have the Classic YAMAHA Factory Racing Scheme.

    Make the WHITE area BLACK
Make the BLACK Stripes WHITE 6~8mm Wide.
REVERSE and Increase the ANGLE of the Diagonals
STRIPE the Front Fender down its Center Line with two 6mm Wide Stripes 10mm apart.
(Tuning Forks Logo's on the Yellow sides of the Tank.

    NO!

    Well ok, maybe......

Add a yamaha tuning fork tank badge on the front and
you have a winner (pun intended).

I also think your should change the white to black and the black to yellow. Definately add some pin striping atleast on your fenders to break up the yellow a little. I definately think it is cool that you kind of designed your own paint job though. Whatever you do just make it your own.
