It's running and rides fine. Here is it's good side, the right looks almost as good but has a bigger dent in the tank.

    Thanks Mike.
It's an '85 with only 8100 miles on it. I'm just the third owner. It went down on the right side with no structural damage, just bars, mirror, foot peg, radiator, and the dents in the tank. It sat for 4 years with 1/2 tank of gas so you know what the carbs looked like. I bought another set off ebay that are really clean and I didn't have to do anything to them. All the other stuff except new air box boots came from ebay. Now if I can only decide what to do with the tank. I like the color but I'm sure it would cost a fortune to paint the tank in the original color. I also have a Harley habit to support :)

Nice looking X. Have you checked Color Rite to see if you can get the same paint?

I believe Chacal sell paint in the original Yamaha colors. IF you decide to not use the tank badges I would like the set. Some punk stole one off my tank. Looks like my biek did when I bough it cept my big dent was on the left side. and I have the stock mirrors. Of course mine had alot more miles on her lol..

Thanks for the info, when I get that far I'll check with Chacal on the paint.

I intend to use the badges if I can.

I'd dry ice it and heat it. POP, out comes the dent...no paintwork required. There is another thread on it right here now too.

Thanks for the compliment. The only thing wrong is the bigger dent on the right side of the tank.
