Here's what I found under the seat when I bought it:

I changed it to this: the solitary fuse (orange wires) is the 20 amp main. I can use the spare three slots for spares in the other fuse box.

I used to have them bolted in place, but now I just tuck them in like this so I can pull them out to check/replace easily.

I know, I know, the frame rails are beat to crap with the paint chipping off. Next time I do modifications I will be sure everything is finalized for fit, form and function before I paint.

lol i love the original fuse (or lack there of) set up. that seems so risky!

i almost bought that same fuse block at Napa but the gang blocks scare me. im pretty knew to working with electrics so i i wasnt i how to run everything to the one post and then have everything split off of it.

seems like theres so much room under there without that airbox haha.

oh and dont forget to throw a spare main fuse in those extra slots. =)

Doh! THANK YOU! I will definitely do that this week!!! I was pretty proud of my "spares in the unused slots" idea, yours adds the final touch to it.

May be worth covering those spare terminals with something as they will be live with a fuse in them.

If they touch one of those bare spots on the frame then the fuse will no longer be a spare. ;)

oh dude hes right on that! another reason i didnt want to mess with the Gang Block (the actual term for that kind of fuse block i believe) but hes totally right. those spare fuses are live man! i got some female .250 connectors that were coated in shrinkable plastic when i did my project. (ignore the circles, reusing this pic from differnt post)

could just shrink them closed and then put them on the end to safe gaurd it. also goon what about the main power peg? would that cause a short if it touched something metal too since its just bascially a nut and bolt?

Willie, like the change out, it looks very nicely done. I would very seriously get those "spare" tabs covered in some insulation, heatshrink would be the quick and easy. Looks like there are a few good ideas for you from a few folks, man I like this forum. Get some good ideas and the forum helps make improvements. Can't beat it.
You too Ike, your swap turned out nicely as well.

Yeah, another brain cramp where I miss the obvious....I'll cover or remove those spare tabs. Thanks.
