I have done some changes to the bike over the winter. Nothing to extreme like some of you guru's but here they are: 10.5 sporter shocks, polishing (with more to come), after market mirrors and signal lights and the seat recovered (all three parts). I have also cleaned the carbs, set floats and bench synched, changed the oil in engine and dif, checked rear brakes for delaim and front for wear. I still have a few things left to do like: adjust vaccum, colortune, replace stock mufflers with sportster muffers ( I got from xjrookie), put new front tire on later in season (good for now) oh and ride alot. Please give me your opinoin of her and any suggestions you might have. I am always looking for new ideas. You will have to look in my gallery to see her. Thanks again for your time and I also want to thank the experts on here because without them I would have never tackled my carbs.

Sounds great! Its really fun tinkering when you can see results transforming your bike closer and closer to brand new.
I would also like to thank the xj wizards here for sharing their outstanding knowledge in great detail.
This winter I rewired almost the whole bike, replaced the front tire, rebuilt my forks, today I'm rebuilding my calipers, checking rear brake for delaminating and will upgrade to ss lines prob next week, and once Fitz gets his petcock rebuild tutorial done I'll be doing that. I also need to check my valve clearences soon, another project made easy by Fitz.

That first ride to work this summer will be extremly rewarding!! Thanks Fitz!!!
