    hello 8)
I try to introduce my 1983 xj bike :D
Before i cut it it looks like this [IMG]
Last year in august i started to chop my old xj 900. i wanted more raked look and lower seat position. Modified and raked frame. I found aftermarket (longer than original) sportster forks and front wheel. From my own yunkjard i got old soviet union gas tank what looks like mustang tank. I weld it wider and move filler hole to center. It s my chopper how s it look now [IMG]

Love the look! What rake have you got on it now? I did a 9 degree rake and love the look and handling. What else are you going to do? Wish I could do a rear disk on mine like you have...oh well, que sera.

:D it´s 44 degree in steering neck and 3 degree in triple trees. Rake 47 degree.
I made my own raked triple trees to get perfect trail. Trail is under 6 inch.

    Very nice.
You should start a thread in the modification forum.
You can post pics and give us updates on how things are going.
    Cheers.

I agree, awesome project. Glad to hear you've worked on the trail issue...I'm always harping on that for those wanting to rake their bikes. Up here I couldn't cut the frame to stay legal, so I did the AME triple tree instead. A lot more expensive to do but it's what I wanted. Will keep looking for your updates.

one pic more... yesterday i got new rear tire, 130 wide dunlop. I think it s possible to put even 140 wide. Today i start to build electric box. For this I use old fire-extinguisher, it looks like harleys oil tank

It would be interesting to find out what the exchange rate and shipping costs are like.... If they are not too bad I would be interested in:

    Front Forks
Mirrors - Depending on what type
    Belly pan (bottom fairing)

Any chance you could email me some pictures?
