    Hello all,

I found this in the bottom of my oil catch basin.

I changed out the shift detent arm spring on my 1982 XJ650 recently. I also replaced the stator on my son's XV535 before that. Any one have an idea what it is and where it came from?

It is. I did drain the remaining oil after I removed the shifter cover of the XJ650. It is about 3/4 inch long and the barrel is about 5/16 inch in diameter.
