Need extended throttle cable *HELP*

    I have a 83 xj650 that I have hardtailed and added a 8 inch raise handle bar .. so I need to add some length to the throttle and possibly the clutch cables... anyone know where these can be bought in a variety of lengths so I can order them asap?? I will also need some new grips for the bars as well.

    not sure about different lengths... but i know theres alot of grips on ebay.. you can also get different length steel brake lines... dont forget that either.

    lol... i figured theyd have an adapter piece... like a union for the brakes, but for a cable adapter.... there you go, someone make one

    You can get a cable cheap from a BICYCLE shop, I make the ends from a piece of smooth bolt shank of the right dia', lead won't last.

    I've always modded my own cables for my various two stroke multi cylinder bikes and they have 1 into (three + 1) for the oil pump but you can find plenty of cable companies that will build you a custom cable and they aren't that expensive. Sometimes, home made hacks aren't the best thing....go ahead, ask me how I know this?<LOL>

    BTW- nice looking bike, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like bobbers so that's a REAL compliment!

    If you take your current cables down to you local dealership they can get an aftermarket company to make some for you.
