I started the rebuild of the forks on my 1981 Yamaha Seca 750 and had a few surprises. Looks like someone upgraded fork springs and used metal spacers unfortunately they left out a few parts. I am looking for the aluminum part to the dampener end. Look at picture attached. I can order the washers that are missing but not sure what this part is called. Let me know if someone has one for sell or knows the name of the part.

@JimS53 looking at Partzilla's fiche of your bike's fork that part appears to be:

    OIL-LOCK VALVE ASSEMBLY
    5G2-W2311-00-00

the bad news is that they also say it is "unavailable". Check with Len Chacal at XJ4EVER, his link is in the right upper corner of this page. Good luck.

Have you a source for the tiny “shim” sized washers? I have the rest of the oil lock assembly, but apparently this one’s missing the tiny flat washer and the wave washer that’s part of the relief valve thingy between the lock and the tapered washer.

I’ve been searching for days, and all I can see is the whole lock assembly from eBay for $50 or more. I’d hate to spend that much for two tiny paper thin washers.
