Need Help, carb question

    i just picked up an XJ750 and it is missing a carburetor. i would appreciate if someone can help me identify what i need to purchase. i will admit i have no knowledge when it comes to carburetors so i appreciate any help. i have attached a couple pictures.

    you'd need a complete carb. Maybe easier to source a whole rack than a single carb. PM member chacal (xj4ever) he'll have what you need.

    Lower 48 in general. Otherwise Central Mitten.
    The carb body that is missing is the #1 carb. 750 Maxim, or Seca will work as they are the same. 650 carbs will work, but will have to be rejetted to work on the 750.

    There are several places to locate what you need. Your best bet is to get a complete rack and rebuild it. Untold damage from PO with that rack as is.

    You're missing a choke plunger lifter as well. Better to source a new(used) rack if you can i'd say!

    And the fuel tube that goes between carb 1 and carb 2.

    Just buy another rack off eBay, and rebuild that. There are at least a couple from 750s up right now.

    Use what you have for a parts rack and don't break anything in the #1 carb on your "new" rack.

    That's honestly the cheapest route. Then at least you have a solid starting point.
