Ok this one is for all the high level Wizards out there. I’m trying to refurb an instrument cluster for my Seca 750. Is there a way to get the clear lens out without breaking the plastic piece that holds in the lens? The metal piece in between is rusted badly. I got it apart without any trouble. I’ve replaced the lights with LED’s, cleaned up the instrument face, and re-stenciled Speedo & Tach. All that’s left is the face. Which looks very bad.

    Please help!

Mine came out, but the plastic frame broke in a couple of spots. Nothing some superglue couldn't handle, though. You would be very lucky if yours came out in one piece.

When I got mine years ago it had the instrument panal glass smashed in by the PO's fist. Like Stereo said, it can be taken apart but the inner plastic piece is pretty solidly welded to the main housing, it can be done but is like brain surgery and I didn't have to worry about breaking the glass like you will. After its apart you can refurbish the bezel. I also had trouble with the rubber gasket that surrounds the glass piece, so be gentle with that too. Re-installing is just a matter of using what you salvage from the inner bracket and glueing in piece meal. Good luck!
