Hey fellas, I used to ride around on a 81' Maxim, now I just bought a 1092 SECA, in fact rode her an hour to work for the first time!

A couple questions for you SECA gurus.

    1)
I notice that I cannot see anything out of either mirror.
They're just too ..close in I think; I can't seem to adjust em so they're picking up anything other than the sky, and I also find I'm not big on how far forward the handlebars are..

Do you fellas happen to know of a decent change out for someone who wants to go to a slightly more 'cruiser-ish' style handlebar?

    2) I am thinking that I run this bike too low in the RPM range , in general.
For criusing at say, 50MPH, would you guys tend to use 4th?
When I see the RPM's at like >4K I think I have to shift, but are these bikes meant to operate at higher RPM, say 5K or so while cruising around?

Forgive the real 101 nature of that question, but noones really ever explained to me how to properly drive these awesome inline 4's, in terms of RPM's....

    cheers mates!

    1. I had the same problem with my mirrors and bought some aftermarket ones for $20.00. I see much better now. Remember, the one yamaha mirror needs a left hand thread. Check out your local bike store for options.

    2. I think RPM is preference. When I am in heavy traffic I like to run in the high RPM's so I can give a quick twist and have the desired responsiveness. When out for a leisurely ride, I run it a little lower in the RPMs. At 50mph (80kph) I would probably have it in 4th or 5th as you say.
