So the control switches, levels, throttle, and grips are succumbing to aged wear and tear. I have an 82 Maxim 650.

I was interested in replacing the stock cables with something with a steel mesh exterior, but I was also curious about changing all the controls. How easy is it to replace the switch assemblies and brake/clutch levers? Where is a good place to find parts?

    Thanks!

Mikes XS have all the controlls in black and chrome, might want to check them out.

Oh, and I switched out the brake and clutch levers / master cylinder with one form an R6 off of e-bay. Only trouble I had was the clutch safety switch... can't start the bike or put th kickstand down in gear now (with the clutch in I mean). Doesn't bother me to much anyway. I can shift to neutral to start it... And I probably just need a new switch.
