Hey guys, I have reviewed the step by step on replacing the fuse box on your bike. My question is, are the boxes different on the XS bikes. Or can I use the stock # that's on the write up.
    Cheers Mac.

Two things have to be considered when choosing a fuse block.
    1. How many fuses does the bike currently have and do you plan on adding any additional circuits. i.e. charger for cell phone or handle bar mounted radio and speakers.
    2. How many amps does your bike pull stock. Find this by adding up the fuses. Mine has one 20 amp and three 10 amps. So that makes 50 amps. The fuse block must be capable of that or more if you plan on adding circuits.

On my bike, it has inline blade fuses, no 'fuse box'.

I'm sure the differences are only cosmetic, and I didn't do the inline fuse 'upgrade' on of the PO's did, but I can help you with how to do it, i've done it many times in automotive when adding components.

Thanks for the tips guys. I thought that seeing I still have time before we can ride up here, I'd try a couple of new mods. The changing of the fuse box seems to be a lot easier then breaking down the carbs (although they will soon be done). So I'll keep you guys posted if I need some more help (most likely)>
    Cheers Mac
