    Hello all bikers!

I want to introduce myself to the group. I recently found this website and had to join. I am a first time bike owner, been riding for 3 years. I received my motorcycle endorsement through the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I have not laid my bike down and no accidents so far (cross fingers). I own a 1982 XJ650 Maxim. It is very clean with 15,000 miles. I am in love with this bike. It’s stylish, affordable, easy to work on and very powerful.

Back in 2003, I purchased it from the 2nd owner that could care less for the thing. After purchasing it, I replaced an ignition coil, fork oil seals, fuel filter, both tires, lubed up the kickstand safety switch, replaced the clutch cable, changed the oil / filter and also changed the drive shaft oil. The carbs were also cleaned up.

Well, that’s my short intro. I plan on posting and participating in a lot of the forums. I will be posting pictures of my bike soon.

    See you in the forums,

Welcome Fellow Biker. I hope you're stay is pleasant and look forward to seeing some pics (even though we have the same type of bike, so i have a pretty good idea what it looks like). It's good to have someone who's got experience working on these bikes.
