Welcome to the fracas Roger! These Maxim's are a hoot to work on, ride and polish up a bit. There are a great bunch of guys with enough experience between them to get you through any issue that might come up.

    GZTOYZ,

    This is my first bike.

I just got on here this year and know more about bikes because of this site.

    You are in good hands.

Welcome!! Look forward to seeing pictures. To get started in your new obsession, pick up a manual and go thru the maintenance section without skipping anything, especially the rear brakes. Even if they look good, replace them, the shoes aren't expensive and it's one of the most important items you need to be concerned about.

Suggestion for the pics is to open a freebie photobucket or similar account and link the pictures back...

Welcome. I love it here too and find myself reading more than typing. Spend the $10 on the XJ CD it is a value at 5x the price. I paid for mine so, no I am not getting anything special for telling you to buy it, just friendly advice.

search "posting pictures" here. I know I saw the proceedure on how to do it. First: go to photobucket.kom and register... then upload your pics to them in the album you "name" . Pictures are not stored on this site. then follow the instructions you find.
