    Hi guys
So I purchased my 1980 yamaha xj650 in November of last year. When I purchased it the owner had not started it nor sat on it for about 20 years. He gave me no information as to why it sat, so I drained all fluids, resealed the gas tank(just in case I can't see everything), cleaned the carbs and bench synced(as described on this forum), added new oil and filter, new spark plugs, replaced front and rear brakes, replaced fuse box, cleaned all electrical connections( save time in the future), new battery and solenoid. Once I finished replacing those items she started right up. I was very pleased with the job I had done. Took her for a ride found a few issues and thanks to this forum they were fixed. Followed instructions on how to dynamic sync and checking valves( in spec). Will post pictures as soon as my phone starts being smart again.
