Hey guys. Name is Rory. From good old Saskatchewan Canada.

I have had my 82 650 for 6 or 8 years now. 42,000km's and runs pretty good....until it got ran over.

It has been written off and now I am going to try and fix it up. I need forks and a front fender. I was wondering what years and what models I can get the forks off of. Also wondering what years and models of exhaust will fit it.

    Thanks

Welcome to the group! Bummer about your bike!

My understanding is the XJCD has that sort of info on it along with a bunch of other useful info. One of these days I plan to get one.

You might want to visit the sell, swap, trade forum and let folks know what you're looking for.

forks: ideally a set off the 750 seca will work best
that is an UPGRADE to dual discs, of course some modifications might be required.
otherwise, the 650 <seca & maxim> and 750s are all the same. the 550 might be as well, but I am not 100% certian.

if you are replacing the headers you might as well go all the way with a new set up
mac and jardine make systems both 4-1 and 4-2
i personally like the 4-2 cause 4-1 sounds like a whiny sportbike.
