New Member 82 XJ750 project

    Howdy. Josh here. I have been secretly lurking around the forums and am grateful to find all the great resources. It seems like a great community and I figured I would say hello. I recently acquired an 82 xj750 and it seems this is the place to hang. The bike has been sitting for a while but I am out of work so have the time to take on a project. I managed to get through some projects already and am progressing through the bike waiting for my dmv appointment to get my license. Any pointers are always welcome as I am new to motorcycles but wanting to join up with my AA biker group. One of the main reasons for posting is I noticed there are some references to members that sell parts etc on here and I am getting ready to undertake the carb. rebuild and need some fresh "rubba boots"( both sides 4 front 2 back ) Would love to support the community as well as see anything you think I should read/watch before undertaking said project.
