    Hello Everyone,

I am a new member, but I have used this site religiously to help me work on my 1982 XJ650 Maxim. I picked her up off of Craigslist and have been working on it. The carbs needed rebuilt, actually they still do, but I am over hauling the entire bike. I pulled off the back end, built a new support, and working on incorporating a new seat. I figured I would start posting on here so people could see what I was doing.

    1st picture - is what I bought
2nd picture - i took out the carbs. The boots were cracked, unfortunately one of the bolts broke off so this site really helped me. Took me forever but I fixed it.
3rd picture - still working on the broken bolt
4th picture - I bought a track seat for it and built a bracket underneath it. I am just fitting it at this point to make sure it will work

Currently I am putting new handlebars on it, new 4 into 1 exhaust, and rebuilding the carbs. I am going to start preping everything for paint as well.

I am going to have a lot of the items I took off for sale soon as well.

No it is a Track Seat. Nothing to do with dirt bikes.
