Hello everyone. After being off a bike for many years I just bought a 1982 xj750. Running but needs some TLC. Finding the search for parts is an adventure in it's self. Could someone explain what the (N,R,,J ect ) Following XJ750 indicates and how do I find out which one mines is. Thanks.

(Old timers, correct if I'm wrong, please) The N, R, J stuff is a production run/batch identifier. You can find out by looking up your VIN in the front of the Haynes manual, or at places like this site.

For any parts you need just click the banner in the top right corner of this site. That will take you to the catalog for a fellow named Len that really has all the parts for your bike.
