    Hi all!

Bought a 1982 Seca XJ650R a few weeks ago and passed my road test this week. So far I've tipped the damn thing twice. Once off the trailer in the rain after I got it, once on some stone down a grassy hill on the edge of a road.

The bike had some cosmetic issues and a bad air filter, but worked well when I bought it. I've changed the oil and filter, air filter, and plugs. Since the most recent tip-over sounds like might have either ruined the plugs again on the right side from getting oil in there or worse. (Also crached the right-side mirror stem.)

Anyways, I love the bike and hope it lasts me two or three years. 31,000 miles with over 500 put on by me, already.

lol first order; stop dropping your bike!

second order; welcome! make yourself at home here. you can find pretty much anything you need here if you just search or ask for it.

grats on the new 650. oh and grats on passing the road test. here in WI they make it incredibly hard for you to pass it without taking the Motorcycle Saftey Foundation.

where you from. be sure to post that in under your avatar
