Hey everyone. I just got a 1982 XJ650RJ last month that's in pretty good shape. I'm not sure if I need new rear shocks on it or not. They're not leaking or anything and I can bounce up and down and there is little movement. I only weight about 125 lbs. My buddy however is 8 inches taller and I,m guessing at about 190 and they'll bottom out when he tries it.The shocks are set in the middle height position. If I do need new shocks can anyone recommend an inexpensive pair. I don,t feel justified spending the money on Progressive Shocks. I just want this bike to pass a mechanical fitness and drive it for awhile before spending too much. Thanks.
